Another Day, Another Twitter Departure: VP Engineering Lee Mighdoll

Is a sudden Twitter exodus happening for reasons yet to be determined? Only one day afterlead architect Blaine Cook left the company another high profile exec leaves: engineering VP Lee Mighdoll.
When Cook left the company, it was easy to find a reason for his departure: Twitter has had frequent downtime issues, and although the situation got better lately, it was still far from perfect; and Cook was brought in to address precisely this matter.
With Mighdoll it’s not that simple. Mighdoll has been with Twitter for only 3 months, having been brought in early January. The reason for his departure? “The match was not perfect,” says Twitter cofounder Biz Stone in an email to Silicon Alley Insider. Strangely enough, when Twitter brought Mighdoll in, he was described as a “perfect match” on Twitter blog. Go figure.
