DotHomes: See Results from the Streets and the Skies

When I told my dad that I got an apartment in San Francisco, the first thing he did was asked me what the address is, so he could pull up the Google Street Views map. As long as my face isn’t in the picture, it makes no difference to me. ;)

Google’s been spending the last year or so ramping up its digital photo library so that it can have Street Views images for as many places as possible, in the US and certain areas of Europe as well. Now that Google Street Views is becoming an expected accompaniment with most map searches, more and more services are including the local photos in their own search results.

A few days ago Trulia added Google Street Views, and today, DotHomes adds Street Views to its real estate search site as well. Weeks after launching a US version of its real estate search site, DotHomes is moving to further integrate as many useful features into its service as quickly as possible. You’ll find the Street view option included for most listings, along with the aerial view from Microsoft’s Virtual Earth.
