Grand Effect Blog Network Relaunches
At the beginning of last month, we profiled a new blogging network gaining momentum that included a number of bloggers we here at Mashable read and work with called GrandEffect. MG Seigler (a writer over at VentureBeat) and Frederic Lardinois, both regular panelists on our own Elite Tech News podcast, had joined up to the blogging network.
In speaking with Sarah Perez (also a blogger at ReadWriteWeb), we learned that they were planning a bit of revamping and expansion of the network site functionality. Today those changes were launched.

They’ve created a subscribable river of news containing all the network bloggers feeds, as well making available the RSS feeds of the individual bloggers on the network, similar to the set up that Blognation had when they made available their Global River of News.
I spoke briefly with Sarah Perez, who handed most of the credit for the redesign to network member David Peralty of Xfep and programmer Andrew McCloud.
“Our next area of focus is going to be getting our readership stats together in order to sell ad space on our network,” said Perez. “The great thing about advertising on Grand Effect is that you get access to a handful of quality technology-focused blogs all at once, and we think that will appeal to advertisers.”
Are you a tech blogger and wanting to join the up-and-coming network? You’re apparently not alone. They’ve had a number of applications, but Perez says they’re still planning on keeping the network relatively small.
